For each grading a different pattern will have to be performed. The following will provide names of each pattern for the gradings, how many movements there are, and the meaning in English. 1st Grading - Name : Sajo Jirugi (number 1 and 2) Movements : 15 Meaning : 4 directional Punch 2nd Grading - Name : Chon - JI Movements : 19 Meaning : Heaven and Earth 3rd grading - Name : Dan - Gun Movements : 21 Meaning : Dan - Gun is named after the holy Dan - Gun, founder of Korea in 2333BC 4th Grading - Name : Do-San Movements : 24 Meaning : Do -San is the pseudoynm of the patriot Ahn Ch'ang -Ho, who devoted his life to furthering education of Korea and it's independant movement. 5th Grading - Name : Won - Hyo Movements : 28 Meaning : Won - Hyo was the noted Monk who introduced Buddhism to the Silla Dynasty in the year 686 A.D. 6th Grading - Name : Yul - Gok Movements : 38 Meaning : Yul -Gok is the pseudonym of the great Philosopher and Scholar Yi I nicknamed the " Confucius of Korea". The amount of movements refer to his birthplace on the 38th degree latittude. All of these patterns will need to be learnt and performed in gradings. As well as this, theory work will also need to be learnt. This is just Korean language such as the names of the patterns, stances and body parts.
